Joseph A. Olsen

Joseph A. Olsen is a research methodologist with specialized expertise in the design, implementation, and analysis of large research studies. He also teaches courses and workshops on data analysis and advanced statistical modeling. He received his B.S. from the University of Utah and his Ph.D. from Brigham Young University. He is currently Assistant Dean and Associate Research Professor in the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences at Brigham University, and directs information technology and research support operations in the College. He has published on research methodology, psychology, sociology, and family studies in various journals including Psychological Methods, Structural Equation Modeling, Quality of Life Research, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, Aggressive Behavior, Development and Psychopathology, Developmental Psychology, Child Development, Journal of Youth and Adolescence, and Journal of Marriage and Family.
