Jay Goodliffe is Associate Professor of Political Science at Brigham Young University, and Research Scholar in the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy. He received his S.B. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Aeronautics and Astronautics, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Rochester. He has held visiting scholar positions at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Michigan. He is nationally recognized for his expertise on congressional elections, campaign finance, and political methodology. His research has appeared in American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Political Research Quarterly, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Political Behavior, Quarterly Journal of Political Science, Journal of Theoretical Politics, Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Studies Quarterly, and Knowledge and Information System.
